Can you duck hunt on lake lanier

All hunts begin bright and early during legal shooting hours in the morning and end around 9AM. This is a great hunt for all experience levels and ages because of the convenient location near home and our mild climate. We take a lot of new hunters who want to prepare for destination hunts abroad and to save money on travel. Our calendar will fill up fast so book one of these local popular hunts quickly!

The Tennessee river is truly a southern waterfowl fly way. Beautiful Lake Guntersville is a 70, acre impoundment where thousands upon thousands of ducks call home during the winter. The Lake Lanier Islands Resort area is not included in this hunt. For this hunt, the lake is divided into nine zones.

Hunters are assigned one of the above hunting dates and a specific hunting zone. Hunters are allowed to bring one hunting partner with them during their designated hunt. A total of 57 hunters are selected; 19 hunters for each four-day hunt. If each hunter takes a partner there is a total of potential hunters.

Some statistics from the previous years are listed in the table below. Permits are issued by a lottery drawing. To be entered in the lottery drawing, hunters must apply by mailing in the application below. All fields on the application must be completed.

My question is if I'm in a boat and don't touch the shore line can i basically hunt next to any bank as long as it's the required feet.
