How old is makers 46

Though aging in cooler temperatures is pivotal for Maker's Mark 46, developing the Maker's Mark 46 finishing process was all about finding the right wood and determining how to treat it.

Very intense flavors; a big crescendo of wood blending perfectly with deep, complex and rich notes of vanilla and caramel. Made with whisky, sweet vermouth and bitters, the Manhattan is also open to variation. It's often a platform for great bartenders to show off their creativity.

Here's our favorite version. While we recommend drinking it without much tinkering, the higher proof of Maker's Mark 46 allows the bourbon flavor to stand up to whatever you mix it with. It's especially great in classic cocktails, which you can explore here. Ready to read on about Maker's Mark 46? Explore further for a more in-depth look into this and other Maker's Mark expressions. Currently the company is undergoing expansion with third still. The expansion seeks to replicate their existing setup to maintain character and quality. No age statement, but said to be about 6 years old. Caramel, toffee, butter. Toasted oak is really coming across as butterscotch to me. Cinnamon and vanilla. Sweet and rich. Alcohol warmth in the finish with a touch of astringency.

All of the classic bourbon flavors are present, including strong hints of caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla, along with buttery toffee and a touch of fresh toasted cinnamon bread. Really pleasant with a nice amount of depth to enjoy. The first thought that pops into my head upon tasting Maker's 46 is a kitchen on a Sunday morning. A nice buttery palate presents heavy oak, caramel, cinnamon, and light fresh baked wheat bread.

A blast of spice containing buttered rum, hints of tobacco and leather, and aged oak all greet me on the finish. It seems to liven up from the palate and presents more discernable flavor right up front. That being said, while it lingers for a while, it becomes more one dimensional, consisting mainly of light hints of tobacco and leather. Not bad, however I was hoping it would last a little bit longer since it starts off very enjoyable.

For me, the answer is absolutely. It should be noted however, that individuals who love the flavor profile of Maker's Mark may be turned off by this enhanced fuller finish.
